“For some years, due to my training in architecture, I work on volumes and I play on the action of light and the intensity of shadows using cut and folded paper
as a medium to express light, form, space, transparency and structure in order to form sculptures.
Whether the paper is stuck up onto on wood or on canvas, I bring it into relief, I work with it until it evokes an architectural element.
Each image can appear to be one façade or several.
The colour intervenes in the free spaces which have been shaped by the cutting, sorts of stained-glass windows of modern times.
My work stands between painting, low-relief, architectural design and I strive to bring together all these forms of fine art in my sculptures.”
